This a lovely hand painted example of a porcelain vase from the second half of the 20th C. It is in a form typical of the period with an upper border consisting of ruyi heads with buddhist pendants hanging below. The facial features of the characters are animated and the lines of the clothing are drawn with exacting detail. Beautiful calligraphy is painted over a landscape scene. There is a seal and wording on the base: "Oriental Hand painted" "Made in China".
Excellent condition. Few signs of wear to the foot rim. Measures 8" tall, 3.5" wide, and has a 2.5" diameter opening.
