Our Start
Delightful Discoveries Antiques was established in 2018 as Delightful Discoveries by SnS. We began offering a wide variety of antique and vintage items based solely on our curiosity. As we progressed along our journey we found that Asian art and antiques inspired us most, causing us to specifically search for and spend the most time researching Chinese pieces. Consequently, we have built a modest inventory of 18th through 20th century Chinese ceramics that we are happy to offer to our customers. Additionally, our love of art and cultural relics allows us to offer many other beautiful and interesting pieces from a multitude of countries and cultures.

- Integrity - We describe all items to the best of our knowledge based on our personal research and expert opinions, if applicable. We utilize internet searches, valuation services, specialized forums, books, and catalogues to complete our research. However, we do not claim to be experts in any specific area,
- Transparency - We offer antique and vintage originals as well as copies, replicas, and prints. Each item is identified as accurately as possible to the best of our knowledge. The Chinese antique market in particular is plagued with forgeries and fakes as noted by many industry leaders such as Tony Allen in his book "Allen's Antique Chinese Porcelain - The Detection of Fakes". Any identification errors are never an attempt to mislead. As such, we offer a liberal refund policy to reassure our customers.
- Continuous Learning - Each item offered stimulated the curiosity of the curator in some way. The curators at Delightful Discoveries Antiques enjoy the research involved in properly identifying pieces. We encourage feedback and embrace any guidance and critique that help us broaden our knowledge and correct any errors in identification.
- Customer Satisfaction - We want our customers to feel comfortable shopping with us. We are happy to answer questions or provide additional photos, if requested. We are not appraisers, but we will guide you to sources of information if you have questions about items you own. All items over $100 are shipped fully insured at no additional cost to the customer. And last, but definitely not least, we want you to be happy with your purchases and therefore, we gladly provide refunds according to our Return Policy.
