This Rose Mandarin Porcelain vase is an high quality example of this export motif. The enamels are very skillfully applied with shading and layering to enhance the quality of the decoration. The court scene has a border consisting of common elements such as flowers and butterflies. The gilt trim is in good condition with very little loss. The decoration on the inside of the dish is in excellent condition with no enamel loss or visible wear.
There is no damage to the dish. The foo lion finial on lid is broken. This is captured in the pictures
The dish is approximately 11 inches long and 9 inches wide.
