Beautifully decorated Antique Canton Rose Medallion Porcelain Plate. This plate features a floral border surrounding alternating scenes of figures in a social setting and flowers and birds. The features of each person are detailed along with the garments and the painting of the birds, flowers, and butterflies. Green enamel makes up the predominant color, typical of rose medallion designs. The gilt is quite worn. The plate dates to the late 18/early 19th century.
One has one small chip to the rim. The gilt is worn on both and there are definite signs of age and wear. The plate measures approximately 10 inches. The price listed is based on the condition.
